It’s for fun. Jesus fucking Christ people, get a hold of yourself. There aren’t any government agencies blocking objects with 13 in them. There aren’t aliens who hate hte number 13. Bad things don’t happen to 13.

It’s just an old engineering tradition.

As for James M; there are far worse super-stations in other parts of the world besides the USA. Most of our planes are made/produced over seas anyway.

This is becuase most airplanes are made in America, or aim to be used by Americans.

In the USA not not only are they often Christin fundamentalists. but they are also irrationally superstitious about all sorts of things, like the number 13. This is ironic becuase the USA was originally formed by 13 states.

What does it matter if they skip a number, it doesn’t effect you really. Some people have this superstition, let them have it.

they usually do, just the seat rows often alternate in smaller planes
